Mr. David F. Peters

David Peters has been appointed the Chef de Mission for the Australian Deaflympics Team. David has the biggest job in Australian Deaflympics - he is responsible for the travel, accommodation and sporting requirements for the entire Australian team.

The team now consists of nearly 40 members including officials, athletes and coaches. David has extensive experience in sports management having acted as Team Manager for both international and regional sporting events since 1985.

Some may think that David is trying to build his own empire, but he has it right - he understands the link between good organisation and getting results on the scorecard. He spends more time on the planning and management of the Australian team than any other person in Deaf Sports Australia.

As David says, "my commitment is to safely transport and accommodate the Australian team and to position each one of our athlete for optimal performance on the field" He also adds "...and for everyone to have fun."

On balance, it is hats off to David!
