ATHLETICS

 

GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD!

 

Vernon 5,000m final – Melinda smashed our Joanne Lambert's record by almost 45 seconds and steamrolled the competition into winning Gold in the 5000 metres womens race !

 

BASKETBALL

 

Australia versus China for 7th and 8th spot. Australia lost 58-84 and as a result finished 8th.

 

SWIMMING HEATS

 

100m Backstroke : Houghton and Collier : Houghton qualified for the final, however was unable to start the final.

50m Free : Morgan, Mentasana and Glover : All did not qualify for the final

200m Fly : Morgan : Did not qualify for the final

 

TABLE TENNIS

 

Louey had two singles matches and lost both 0-3

 

Dyball has three singles matches and lost the first matches 0-3 however registered his first win for the Deaflympics  with a 3-0 win….a BIG congratulations to Jacob.
