Australian Team Announced

Deaf Sports Australia recently announced the official 228 member Australian Team at a press conference at the new Lexus Centre in Melbourne.
The Australian Team will feature 152 athletes, competing in 14 of the 15 sports at the first Games to be held in Australia, and only the second to be held in the Southern Hemisphere.
The 20th Deaflympic Games will highlight:
- The Largest Australian Team ever with 228 members
- The Most athletes ever to represent Australia with 152 competitors
- The Lowest cost per Australian Team member ever to compete in the Deaflympic Games
- The Most volunteers and support staff ever recruited
- The most progressive high performance structure ever seen in deaf sports history
